Long-Lasting Change Matters.

FACTS...

  • A child is born into poverty every two hours in Orange County.
  • 55% of renters in Orange County, representing more than 200,000 households, can’t afford the average one-bedroom apartment.
  • Over 35,000 incidents of homelessness are reported each year in Orange County. Of these, 22,000 represent individuals with jobs.

United Way’s goal isn’t a quick fix to treat symptoms. Our goal is about long-lasting change…addressing issues before they become problems. It’s about getting to the root causes that prevent individuals and families from living self-sufficient lives.

We know that we can not create lasting change alone. This is why every year United Way partners with individuals and organizations to develop plans that proactively deal with critical health and human care issues through the Community Impact Agenda.

The Community Impact Agenda provides the basic services needed for families and individuals in crisis situations and proactively addresses the root causes preventing them from living self-sufficient lives. Financial stability starts early with the development of our children and continues through adulthood.

Steps To Achieve Financial Stability

Through your investment in United Way you are partnering with our community to secure the future of our children and improve the lives of those in need.
