What is Success By 6?
Success By 6 is a nationwide model children's initiative dedicated to the well-being of children ages 0-6. More than 350 United Ways, in 42 states, have implemented this successful model that involves partnerships between local United Ways, corporations, service providers, the media and government.
While the benefit of healthy children is priceless, it is also a sound investment.
Vision
Orange County children, from birth to age six, are healthy, nurtured and ready to succeed when they enter school
Mission
Orange County United Way's Success By 6 will serve as a catalyst and convener of community resources to improve the care and healthy development in children from birth to age 6, concentrating on center-based childcare.

What is "systems change"?
Systems change is a permanent alteration in the way human care needs are met.
Systems change uses a collaborative of civic and business leaders; professionals and experts in the early care and education; children's advocates; and other community leaders to find sound long-lasting solutions that will ensure the success of our youngest children.
